An adobe ranch on the Chama River
Rancho Los Milagros sits on 22 acres in the heart of Abiquiu, New Mexico — flower and vegetable gardens, fruit trees, an old-growth bosque, direct river access, and views of the mesas Georgia O'Keeffe painted. It is a place for gathering: for weddings and celebrations, family reunions, retreats, and long, unhurried stays.

The House
The house marries old New Mexico charm — deep-set windows, kiva fireplaces, antique and tribal furnishings, and original artwork — with modern comforts throughout, including fast Wi-Fi (~96 Mbps) and a dedicated workspace. There are generous living and dining rooms, a fully stocked kitchen with a table for twelve, a game area, a library, a music room with a piano, a laundry and mud room, and a wonderful screened sunroom that becomes everyone's favorite place to linger.
Where you'll sleep
East wing: three large bedrooms, each with a private bath — two kings (each convertible to two singles) and a queen.
West wing: a king bedroom, a bedroom with two singles, a large shared bath, a common room with a wood stove and queen sofa bed, and two semi-private porches.
An air mattress is available on request. The house comfortably hosts anywhere from a couple to 13 guests.
The grounds
Outside the door: an outdoor fire pit, barbecue, lawn seating, a seasonal grape arbor, herb and flower gardens, and fruit trees. A path through the cottonwood bosque leads to the Chama River on the far side of the property. Ranch horses and barn cats like to say hello over the fence.
Radiant floor heat and fireplaces keep winters cozy; thick adobe walls, ceiling fans, and cool desert nights keep summers comfortable. The ranch is lovely in every season.
The neighborhood
Jogging distance to Plaza Blanca — O'Keeffe's "White Place." Across the river from Bode's General Store, the Abiquiu Inn, and the Georgia O'Keeffe Home & Studio. Close to Abiquiu Lake, Ghost Ranch, Ojo Caliente hot springs, and endless hiking. About an hour from Santa Fe.
